| Ok, so I've been out of touch. Again. This will, in all likelihood, be the last entry that I make in this weblog. Why?
1) As I said before, I can't organize my game/movie reviews here, and that makes me sad. 2) It's highly doubtful that anyone reads this anyway. Weblogs are fickle that way. 3) Venting of my activities and feelings to an Internet web page never did quite grab me. If you really want to find out what's going on with me, I'm not terribly difficult to find. I have AIM, e-mail, and a home/cell phone, all of which I use regularly. Those of you who would have any business contacting me already know how to get a hold of me on one, if not all of them.
That being said, it's now two weeks and change before my last year at CU. Work aside, I've had a good summer. Got to spend sometime up in Asheville in July, which I enjoyed tremendously (also going to the beach this weekend ). Nearly three months after the sudden and unexpected destruction of our swimming pool (rust is a mutha), we just recently got the new one in and had the damaged deck repaired. Unfortunately, having fixed this problem, a new one has come up dealing with water damage to our roof. Ultimately, tearing out the shingles and replacing the damaged wood will be what needs doing, but until it gets cool enough weather to attempt such foolishness, we've stapled down a giant plastic tarp, which looks hysterically out of place.
On the school front, the worst of the infamously difficult mechanical engineering curriculum is now behind me. My biggest task will likely not come until the second semester, at which point I will have to seriously get involved with trying set myself up with an entry level job once I graduate.
It's getting way too late to continue, so I'll leave it at that.
This is Josh, signing out.

| Another semester is almost in the books. Seems I have a knack for skating on thin ice with my GPA.....once again I find myself floating in the neighborhood of a 3.0 even for this semester (don't have all my grades back, and I have one exam left to go). So what have I learned in my three years so far?
A) Despite dominating the subject back in high school, I totally suck at chemistry. B) When a professor singles you out and threatens to call security on you for silently having your laptop out (despite the other 15 students doing the same), and you're sitting on the back row 100 feet from the front of the room, it's probably best to just call the day a wash and go home. C) That button that says "block user" on AOL Instant Messenger can be really nifty sometimes. D) The first time you put your hopes for completing an assignment on a computer being able to work is precisely when it will fail to do so. E) And finally, whenever a surgeon tells you after an operation that it went very well and he expects no problems during the recovery, it still doesn't hurt to keep that insurance information handy.
In other news, I've also just started teaching a small group of high school seniors in our church. Attendance suffers from time to time, but for now the startup has gone well. And of course, there's the matter of finding work for the summer which I haven't resolved yet.
Good luck to all on the rest of finals week, and maybe I'll see some of you over the break.

| Good gracious, it's been a long time since I updated. How's everyone doing?
About halfway through the spring semester, and things are pretty darn good for me at the moment. Not struggling particularly badly in any one class at this point (which is a first for me ), plus spring break is only a few days away. After doing some thinking and praying on the matter, I've decided to live at home again for my senior year. A number of factors contributed to this, but I'm confident that it's the right choice to make. I'll still take away a few things from this experience, though: making the inevitable final move away from home won't be such an unfamiliar thing now, I can actually wake up to an alarm in the morning, and eating Hormel microwave dinners 2-3 times a week for almost a year has motivated me to further my knowledge of home cooking (and drink more water).
My girlfriend and I have been together for about 9 months now, and things are still great between us. More and more I see the evidence that she might just be "the one" that God has chosen for me, but I have no intentions on anything permanent for at least until I'm done with college, so there's plenty of time to ponder on that one.
And with that, I'm off to dreamland.

| In case you all are wondering: yes, I'm still here.
A lot has happened over the last few months:
I'm now in my fourth month of my first semester living away from home.
It has its benefits (sure beats driving an hour every day) and
downsides (I really do miss home cooking), but overall I am enjoying
the experience immensely. Certainly does have some interesting (and
exasperating) moments.
I've fallen in love for the first time in my life. With whom, I'll
leave it to you to guess, though you might know already (in fact, I
think everyone who knows this blog is here knows who she is ^_^). It's
a wonderful feeling, knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that you love
someone and they love you just as much, no matter how many times you
screw things up. It definitely helps that her family is highly
supportive not only of our relationship, but also of me personally.
A few smaller things have happened too, but it's 3am, so I'll leave it at that for now. Later!

| Ok, so it appears Xanga has put the axe to user reviews. As you might
recall, reviews were the main reason I opened up this blog in the first
place. So while I ponder whether or not to continue updating this site,
I hunt for another place to host my reviews.
That's all for now.
